About Us

Ohiopyle State Bark

This page is dedicated to the dog lovers and their furry friends who enjoy spending time in Ohiopyle State Park in southwester Pennsylvania. The park is situated on over 20,000 acres across three counties, leaving plenty of room for fetch, ball, or swimming. In addition to being a mountainous park with an abundance of forests and trails, it also has endless opportunities for dog friendly outdoor recreation. The Youghiogheny River gorge carves its way through the park for about 14 miles as it meanders toward the Ohio River. Whitewater rafting is extremely popular with tourists, and you will often see locals with their dogs enjoying the river in rafts. The town of Ohiopyle sits adjacent to the visitor center, and has an array of restaurants and gifts shops that welcome dogs to their establishments. All around, this park is perfect for you and your furry best friend, that’s why we’ve renamed it Ohiopyle State Bark!
